When I was eleven I, by chance, rolled into an audition for the musical Annie, I got the role of Kate and it lead to a great interest in theatre and musical from then onward. Since moving to the Netherlands, I have joined several musical and theatre productions, the most interesting are mentioned below in reverse order.

January 2013 – June 2013           Into the Woods

Into the Woods is an extremely beautiful but also challenging musical in which all the roles have solo’s and the music plays a very big part throughout the production. As one of the stepsisters of Cinderella I enjoyed a challenging role with little growth in character, but a very entertaining role to play and see. All the different fairy tales mixed together in this modern musical makes this the most challenging but also the most interesting musical that I have joined in up to now.

September 2011 – June 2012      Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland was a production that was initiated by the cultural branch of the University of Twente. I played the role of the queen’s mother, a rather disturbed and confused person, it was not a big role, however, I enjoyed being a strange and confusing person. The role in itself was one of the roles that did not require singing a solo, this was a choice I made when we started, however, during the production I became more and more comfortable singing, especially in a choir.
